A Range

The Alkorplan A adhered range is an aesthetically pleasing finish, which can provide the perfect solution if mechanically fastened solutions are difficult due to the substrate type or it is the preference of the specifier or installer. No matter whether the structure is a wood, concrete or steel deck.

The larger widths of the RENOLIT ALKORPLAN A membranes require fewer seams, resulting in less installation time and a more continuous and less interrupted roof surface. The seams are hot air welded by either manual or automatic welding.

‍The Alkorplan A range can be used for both 'warm' and 'cold' roofing solutions. For 'warm' roofing solutions they can be used over insulated panel (subject to loads), inverted or standard insulated built up solutions. Contact your Archityne representative for more information.

RENOLIT ALKORPLAN

F Range

They can, however, also be applied to concrete structures or wooden decks. They are recommended for both new and existing buildings, typically on flat roofs as well as pitched roofs.

The RENOLIT ALKORPLAN F range for mechanical fastening has a woven polyester reinforcing, which makes the membranes even more resistant. Mechanically fastened membranes are also available for aesthetic roof solutions, thanks to a broad colour range, standing seam imitation and energy efficiency solutions (cool roof and cool coloured membranes). In case of renovation or demolition, the mechanically fixed membrane can be easily removed and recycled.

The Alkorplan F mechanical fastening range can be used for both 'warm' and 'cold' roofing solutions. For 'warm' roofing solutions they can be used over insulated panel or for insulated built up solutions. Contact your Archityne representative for more information.

Mechanically fixed membranes are fastened to the substrate along their longitudinal edge by means of washer tubes or pressure plates and fixings. They are perfectly suited for lightweight, metal and timber deck structures for large industrial buildings, warehouses, logistic centres, etc.

Ballasted Systems

L Range

A ballasted or protected roof implies that the roofing membrane is not fixed nor adhered to the roof structure. The membrane is loose-laid and covered with gravel, paving slabs, decking, etc.

The ballasted system is suitable for warm or inverted roof constructions, on both new build and refurbishment projects. Although it is mostly used on concrete support, steel deck and wood structures are perfectly possible as well.

Thanks to the glass fleece reinforcing, the RENOLIT ALKORPLAN L range has excellent dimensional stability. At the end of the roof’s lifespan, the membrane can be totally recycled.

Is it safe to install Solar/ PV panels onto the roof membrane?

Yes, it is safe to install solar/ PV panels onto the pioneering Alkorsolar profiles that DO NOT penetrate the roof membrane. It is never recommended to penetrate the waterproof layer if at all possible.
